About
History
Wallstreet Financial Group, Inc. was formed in 1987 by Lee Wilbers and Bob Linville. At its inception, Wallstreet focused primarily on financial and investment guidance and products. In 1990, Randy Lueckenotte and Ron Kappelman joined Wallstreet, acting as active partners in the agency. Their addition included a merger of diversified clients and services. Shortly thereafter, Wallstreet expanded its business competencies to include a focus on group benefit plans, including health and ancillary insurance coverage, as well as 401K and other group retirement plans. Wallstreet quickly became one of the fastest growing insurance and financial services agencies in Mid-Missouri. It wasn’t long before the agency established business relationships in every corner of the state, with some clients demanding a multi-state servicing capability.
Specializing in property and casualty insurance offerings, The Nelson Vincent Agency merged with Wallstreet in 1996, to complete the insurance coverage opportunities afforded to Wallstreet’s patrons.
In 1999, Wallstreet encountered a devastating tragedy, when a local plane crash took the lives of four dear friends and colleagues. Ron Kappelman, Bob Linville, Judy Massman and Summer Schulte all perished in the 1999 crash and are greatly missed today.
The loss of these members left a great void and created a new challenge for the agency to overcome, but overcome, Wallstreet would. Wallstreet has continued to grow, both in clients and in team members. Today, Wallstreet continues to deliver objective financial and insurance advice matched with unparalleled customer service. Our agency is comprised of a team of proven professionals practicing in a multitude of specialty insurance and financial service fields.
Much larger and further reaching than in 1987, Wallstreet Group still makes a great effort to stay connected to the needs of local charities and organizations that rely on the support and monetary donations of businesses like Wallstreet Group. We are proud to belong to a community which embraces its local businesses and equally proud to be so fortunate as to be able to give back to our community and the organizations which make so much possible for those less privileged.
